I can't make or receive calls Verify airplane mode is turned off.
Airplane mode is a feature that prevents your device from sending or receiving a wireless transmission.
Turn airplane mode off - From the home screen, select Settings
- Next to Airplane Mode, select the toggle switch to enable or disable airplane mode.
- You've now enabled or disabled airplane mode.
Note: You can re-enable Wi-Fi on your iPhone® 4s and connect to a Wi-Fi network while airplane mode is enabled.
Verify your iPhone® 4s is connected
Be sure your iPhone® 4s is connected to the voice network to make or receive calls. - Place a phone call.
- If the phone call fails, update the profile.
- From the home screen, select Phone
- On the keypad, dial ##873283#, then select Call
- Select OK
- When the update is complete, select OK. Select the Home button to return to the home screen.
- The data profile is now updated

Reset the network settings
Resetting the network settings reconnects your iPhone® 4s to the network and does not erase any of your content or data. - From the home screen, select Settings.
- Scroll to and select General.
- Scroll to and select Reset.
- Select Reset Network Settings.
- Select Reset Network Settings to confirm.
